The Devonshire Quarter has long been one of our favourite places in Sheffield. Home to some of the best independent shops, cafes and bars in the city. It saw the birth of Warp Records and went on to host stylish and quirky institutions such as Red or Dead, Fopp, Rare & Racy and Sumo.
As the City develops and shoppers are being pulled to the new Retail Quarter, footfall was in need of a boost. We were asked to produce a guide to this hub of creative thinkers. We spent 2 days in the area, interviewing and photographing business owners and their shops. The finished product had a David Hockney Inspired foldout photo-collage of sections of the streets.
